Director’s Message

As Managing Director, I would like to take this opportunity to thank and welcome our valued customers, clove farmers and all stakeholders whose continued support and confidence in our products and services inspires us to extend the best services and enables us to provide value for their money.

I introduce to you all, the Zanzibar State Trading Corporation (ZSTC) which is the Government – owned Corporation established under the Public Enterprise Decree No. 39 of 1966 through Zanzibar State Trading Order of 1968

In December 2011, the Government enacted the Zanzibar State Trading Act No: 11 of 2011 which gives more power to ZSTC to oversee and develop the clove sector to ensure that it brings sustainable prosperity to the people of Zanzibar and the country in general.

We produce and export top quality cloves and other cash crops; it is truly universally acknowledged that Zanzibar cloves are naturally superior terms of quality due to its organic nature

We produce and sell essential oils and various exotic spices which are produced through organic methods to both internal and external markets.

ZSTC is prudent in production of quality products and good services that meet international standards. This led to be rewarded International Award for Excellence by International Leaders Club of Madrid Spain and Paris France in 2015 and 2017 respectively.
